The Columbus Blues Challenge is open to all musicians. However, there is a limited number of available performance slots. Priority will be given to "Greater Columbus" artists. If there are still available slots once the deadline has passed, they will be offered to Ohio performers in order of their receipt at the Blues Alliance office.
The deadline for receipt of applications at the CBA Office is July 30, 2010.
Our rules, conditions, judging criteria and eligibility criteria are based closely on the rules followed by the Blues Foundationfor the International Blues Challenge. All rules of the Blues Challenge are outlined in the application, so please read it thoroughly.
The order of performance for both categories will be drawn at Woodland's Tavern on August 15, 2010 during the CBA Blues Jam.
It is highly advisable that all acts arrive 1-2 hours prior to their scheduled performance time.
If the schedule becomes accelerated and you are not ready to perform following the preceeding act, you may forfeit your right to compete.
